Shaping The Random was released in June 2000 in a limited edition of 1000 copies. Reviews were ecstatic. Often positively compared to the biggest names in the genre, flattering adjectives poured in: "incredible," "impressive," "essential," "astonishingly mature," and "pushing the boundaries of the genre." Doors opened, and the prospect of a bright future emerged. The most unexpected was yet to come, and it arrived quickly. The band was offered another tour, this time with two major acts in the genre, the American bands The Dillinger Escape Plan and Botch, for a 30-date tour across Europe, under professional conditions they had never experienced before.
