A rediscovery on recordings compiled by the artist, the sublime voice of Sheila Chandra! "Echo" is undoubtedly the last album by Sheila Chandra. This compilation of live recordings takes its title, quite loosely, from the nymph of Greek mythology who lost her voice - just like Chandra did 15 years ago. A shy artist and rarely present on stage in her time, fully aware that many of her fans were disappointed to never have seen her in concert, Chandra gathered this compilation of recordings to give them a glimpse of what her breathtaking solo vocal performances looked like. This is a box set resulting from an exhaustive search of all the concert recordings, television shows, or radio sessions that Chandra has ever made. Among these, she selected the best interpretations of her songs, largely drawn from the first two albums of her 90s trilogy blending solo voice and drone, reissued on vinyl for its 30th anniversary in 2023. Among the other added tracks are two songs from her fifth solo album, *Roots and Wings*, where she refined the techniques she would later use on *Weaving My Ancestors' Voices* and *The Zen Kiss*, as well as a final piece from her performances during the first "Imagined Village" tour in 2007.
