Description

She & Him released their second album, Volume Two, in March 2011. Written by Zooey Deschanel (She) and produced by M. Ward (Him), the album features eleven original tracks and two covers: NRBQ's "Ridin' in My Car" and Skeeter Davis' "Gonna Get Along Without You Now." This second volume is bolstered by rich harmonies, sweet melodies, and choruses inspired by 60s Brill Building pop. From the opening "Thieves" to the a cappella "If You Can't Sleep," the single "In the Sun" featuring guest vocals from Tilly and the Wall, and the tempo and mood changes of "Home," this album sparkles from beginning to end.
