Thanks to a primitive electro, hypnotic vocalizations, and a 'sonic amusement park' as they like to define it, the duo's album is built around a beautifully chaotic world. Their musical influence, ranging from Iggy Pop to Madonna, passing through T-Rex and Can, as well as the yÃĐyÃĐ aesthetic of the 60s, proves the full extent of their universe. "When I sing over a loop, I don't feel like I'm controlling what I'm doing or being cerebrally invested in the process; it's more like my subconscious takes over my mind and everything comes directly from my dreams," says singer Audrey Ann. You only need to listen to the album once to understand what she means by that. The track 'How Do You Feel' is a swirling fantasy about teenage love, 'You Don't Know', a jungle pop hit, and 'The World Laughs', an ode to psychedelic rock. It's the connection between the two friends, their tensions, harmonies, and oppositions, that make this new album so personal and ecstatic.
