Division

Description

The talented and highly prolific American singer Shannon Wright returns with a new album titled "Division": Like most records, "Division" has its story. It is the meeting between Shannon Wright and the French musician Katia Labèque (a world-renowned pianist, along with her sister Marielle). The latter invites the American to come and record in her studio in Rome. Initially uncertain, Shannon Wright ends up writing three songs in two days, heavily inspired by the atmosphere of the studio and its beautiful pianos. This is followed by several months of intense work with musician, producer, and sound engineer David Chalmin, between Rome and Paris. For this new record, Shannon Wright wrote, composed, and played almost all the parts (including some drums)! The result is a powerful and captivating album with tracks that give us goosebumps, such as the title track "Division," as well as "Soft Noise," "Iodine," "Lighthouse (Drag us in)," and the first single unveiled, "The Thirst."
