Composed of singer Charlie Steen, guitarists Sean Coyle-Smith and Eddie Green, bassist Josh Finerty and drummer Charlie Forbes, the London quintet Shame started out in their teens with a DIY ethos. Influenced by Eddy Current Suppression Ring and The Fall, the band established themselves on the south London scene with angular, nervy post-punk, culminating in their debut album on Dead Oceans, Songs of Praise, released in 2018.
