Originally scheduled for release on 26/03 *Human*, the latest album from the Shai Maestro group, is now available on vinyl. As always, Maestro approaches music with a decidedly modernist perspective while respecting tradition. Towards the end of a program composed almost entirely of Maestro's original pieces exploring a wide variety of moods, the quartet offers its own version of Duke Ellington’s classic 'In A Sentimental Mood' while Shai’s piece entitled 'Hank and Charlie' pays a vibrant tribute to the musical empathy shared by the late Hank Jones and Charlie Haden.
