The trio Setting, hailing from the Piedmont region of North Carolina, brings together their solid musical skills and a collaborative, exploratory spirit—nurtured by groups such as Mind Over Mirrors, Califone, Black Twig Pickers, Pelt, Peeesseye, Sylvan Esso, and Jake Xerxes Fussell—to create inventive, rich improvisations.
