« Bad Cowboy», the third album by Seth Gueko, can be summed up in a few words: maturity, sincerity, technicality, and humor. After his last album « Michto », Seth Gueko toured for two years and his encounter with his audience profoundly transformed him. Seth Gueko is funny, he has quick wit, recognized as one of the best punchline artists in France, all of this, the audience knows, it’s established. So Seth wanted, for his third album, to show something different. Seth Gueko surrounded himself with « the best in their fields »: we find Soprano singing the chorus of the track « Ma Dalton », Orelsan and his swagger on « Lève les Draps », Niro for the ghetto rap part, and Kery James on B.RN. with the most evocative and unifying chorus. If Seth is today the last survivor of ghetto rap, it’s because he has managed, while keeping everything that made his strength, to evolve and grow to surpass a framework that has become too strict for his overflowing personality and his extraordinary talent.
