Produit par Scott Burns, BENEATH THE REMAINS, is now considered a classic of Thrash Metal. This Deluxe 2CD edition offers the original 1989 album in remastered version, accompanied by unreleased versions from the 'The Rio/Nas Nuvens' sessions and also live tracks.
Among the unreleased tracks from the 'The Rio/Nas Nuvens' sessions are 'mixdown' versions of 'Lobotomy' and 'Mass Hypnosis', as well as the instrumentals of ‘Slaves Of Pain’ and ‘Sarcastic Existence’. Recorded in September 1989 at the Zeppelinhalle in Kaufbeuren (West Germany), the unreleased live tracks include versions of 'Inner Self' and 'Primitive Future', and covers of Black Sabbath and the Dead Kennedys (‘Symptom Of the Universe’, ‘Holiday In Cambodia’).
