An Irish quintet (originally from Dublin), they've been playing together since 2011 and took their band name from a Bangles song. September Girls plays pop rock that is sometimes melancholic and should delight fans of the wonderful The Organ. The melodies are catchy and haunting, and the fresh, garage-pop aspect of their music might echo the Dum Dum Girls. A simple but not simplistic sound, very airy and light.
