With his first two albums Salvador (2020) and Romeo (2021), Sega Bodega introduced a reinvention of dance music, animated by a sort of dreamlike logic that left the mind deranged but made sense to the body. His third album, Dennis, arrived in the wake of a manic experience. During a turbulent period in his personal life, the impact of mania manifested itself in peaks of euphoria, sleepless nights and an abandonment to impulses. The difference between "reality" and this altered state of mind seemed paper-thin. Dennis translates this feeling. His impeccable sound has been incorporated into the production of pop disruptors such as Eartheater, Caroline Polachek and Shygirl, on her Mercury-nominated album Nymph, and more recently, Björk, on her collaborative single "Oral" with Rosalía.
