For his second mixtape, SEB aimed to explore new musical colors, blending rap and alternative music. Influenced by multiple genres, "BACKPACK" is a 12-track musical journey and a nice way for him to "empty his bag."
For his first album, SEB chose to explore new musical shades, blending rap with alternative sounds. Drawing from multiple influences, BACKPACK unfolds over 12 tracks as a true sonic journey, a sincere and deliberate way for him to "empty his bag."
Followed by millions online, SEB gained musical recognition with his freestyles and music videos, accumulating millions of views. In 2021, he took a first step with his mixtape Crash Test, a project that now approaches 30 million streams.
Building on this success, he felt the need to rethink his creative approach. Instead of releasing continuously, he paused, stepped back, and sought his own sound.
With BACKPACK, SEB doesn't just make a record: he builds a universe. His fictional alter ego, Slout – a humanoid character inspired by a sloth – becomes the embodiment of his music. This bold choice allows him to break free from his public image and put art first: the music, the visuals, and even the physical object all resonate within a coherent and singular creative offering.
Radical and assured, BACKPACK marks a key stage in SEB's evolution, asserting his artistic identity while pushing the boundaries of his own creativity.
