A stage. A drum kit. Percussion has always been magical for the young Parisian artist, Scimia. At the age of 6, he first takes the sticks in his hands and falls in love with them. But he is not only fascinated by the instrument. Music transforms him into a wild animal that always wants more. Piano and music theory occupy him at first. But the animal wants to get on stage, it seeks an audience with whom it will be connected. With the show "Le Singe Batteur" he steps into the spotlight of the jungle. He creates a connection with nature on stage. Like an endangered species, Scimia creates sounds to make people open their eyes. For example, he makes his audience aware of the extent of the damage caused by deforestation in the Amazon. A poignant scenario under the presence of 80s sound. New-Wave and Disco are the jungle sounds that warn of the danger of the modern system. The synths will show the future voice to follow. A future that may not be real. Scimia is often invited to play at video game festivals. His tracks are also inspired by games like DOOM or Castlevania.
