The band signs its fourth and final album as a tribute to Benjamin Curtis. Alejandra Deheza and Benjamin Curtis (who had made up the band on their own since the departure of Alejandra’s twin sister in 2010) wrote this new album together during the summer of 2012, but Curtis’s illness forced them to put the recording on standby. After his death in December 2013, Deheza left New York to settle in Los Angeles, where she decided to record the album, to tell the band’s story and bring it to a close. SVIIB is a powerful musical tribute with mesmerizing sounds and the original pop widely distilled in the albums Alpinisms in 2008, Disconnect from Desire in 2010 and Ghostory in 2012. Produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen and mixed by Tony Hoffer, SVIIB will be the fourth and final album by SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS.
