SAXON Description / Presentation:Formed in 1977, Saxon established themselves at the dawn of the 80s as one of the leaders of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. With this first eponymous album, released in 1979, singer Biff Byford and guitarists Graham Olivier and Paul Quinn made the difference by forging the classics « Stallions Of The Highway » or «Still Fit To Boogie ». These tracks allowed them to unite an army of fans, who were also enthusiastic about the suite « Rainbow Theme / Frozen Rainbow » which opens the album. This edition offers a remastered version of this legendary work, with bonus unreleased demos from 1978, their first BBC session, as well as live tracks recorded at Donington.
