Bringing together Ron Young (Little Caesar, The Kingbees) and Rich Thomas, former collaborators from the California rock scene of the 1980s, Savage Gentlemen makes its debut with a self-titled album that emphasizes the effectiveness of the songs and collective playing. The ten tracks are rooted in the tradition of rock'n'roll, blues rock, and American hard rock, driven by Young's raspy voice, guitars with a seventies flair, and a rhythm section with a strong groove. Recorded at Sonic Lounge Studios in Ohio under the direction of Joe Viers, this first album marks the reunion of musicians who chose to write new material rather than revisit their past.
