On *Swingin' Easy*, the great Sarah Vaughan is backed only by a rhythm section consisting of piano, bass, and drums, a format in which she recorded only a few times early in her career. This is one of Sarah Vaughan's lesser-known albums for EmArcy, which combines two distinct trio sessions from 1954 and 1957. The first date features pianist John Malachi, bassist Joe Benjamin, and drummer Roy Haynes.
