'Les deux doigts dans la prise' is the new solo album by the brilliant French singer and guitarist Sanseverino, the first since Montreuil - Memphis (2017). Accompanied by a talented backing band, Sanseverino allows us to enjoy his virtuosic guitar playing as well as his unique style throughout the 12 tracks of the album, including "Chez J.J. Cale," a tribute to the great American guitarist-singer, and "Qui c'est celui-là," a cover of the classic by Pierre Vassiliu. 'Les deux doigts dans la prise' (Verycords) was born from a desire to explore other places, other paths, other sounds by, among other things, taking a tour towards funk and afrobeat sounds (with some references to The Meters, for example, or the 6/8 time signature typically heard in afrobeat). Drawing inspiration from different musical movements while remaining true to my lyrical universe, my eternal stories, and my unique way of writing. Accompanied by Stéphane Huchard and François Puyalto, two artists with their own backgrounds and influences, they will join forces to present this new project starting in the fall of 2021. "About the title "Chez J.J. Cale," Sanseverino explains: "Chez J.J. Cale" is an obvious tribute to the late composer J.J. Cale in a style that is uniquely his own, the Country Blues Lo-Fi. What I know about J.J. Cale is that despite the worldwide successes of "After Midnight" and "Cocaine," to name just two, he stayed away from 'show business' and lived outside of the spectacular... That's honestly classy, and that's what made me pay tribute to him." ---Sanseverino ---.
