To mark its 20th anniversary, discover the timeless album Moffou, reissued in a version enhanced with two bonus tracks: Martin Solveig's famous cover of 'Madan' from 2003 and the new remix by Bakermat.
In 2002, after his many musical journeys, Salif Keïta made a true return to his roots with Moffou. The music was built on acoustic sounds, steeped in a melodic clarity that highlighted an essentially traditional instrumentation. Surrounded by sensitive musicians, the artist navigates between stripped-down intimate ballads (such as 'Souvent', 'Iniagige', or 'Ana Na Ming') and more joyful rhythms, and features Cesaria Evora for one song, 'Yamore'.
