Aurélien Hamm, aka Saint DX, unveils his first solo album ‘Way Back Home’, in which he wholeheartedly welcomed a host of friends: Ponko and Prinzly, Poppy Hankin from Girl Ray, MT Hadley, and finally some French artists (Paul Prier, Victor Le Masne, Michael Declerck, NxxxxxS…) who supported him for two years in the creation of the work.
He was first seen as part of Apes & Horses, then as a producer, musician or songwriter for other artists, including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Damso and Disiz. Influenced, among other things, by film soundtracks that marked his childhood, the future Saint DX was very early on captivated by the enchanting sounds of Yamaha's DX7 synth. This is evident in his elegant electro-pop, both simple and sophisticated, in thrilling piano ballads, in crystal-clear synth-pop, or in vocals that are sometimes delicate then capable of reaching peaks of urgency as on his single "Late". He also opted for French on two tracks: "Jamais vu le jour" and "Tout perdre".
