The Sai Galaxy project is back, bringing together West African legends Steve Monite and Rob with multi-instrumentalist Simon Durrington, guitar master Alfred Bannerman, and Egypt 80 trumpeter Bade for a second EP of afro-disco and soul.The EP follows the 2022 EP Get It As You Move, blending layers of vocal harmonies and synth pads with a solid disco foundation. The sound remains faithful to the analog production techniques of the 70s and 80s, adding a modern touch inspired by Durrington's Digital Afrika project.The first single "Hold You Tonight" is performed by Nigerian disco icon Steve Monite (best known for his mega hit "Only You"), who revisits his 80s roots with a dance track."Rich Man Poor Man" (featuring Ghanaian ROB) slows down the tempo and highlights the highlife influence, while "Sometimes It Rains" brings a touch of neo-soul with the Omar-esque sound of Fijian singer Kaivili.
