"Maison Maquis" is the 3rd album by Sages comme des sauvages. These stage beasts have traveled across France far and wide, winning over a loyal and convinced audience. Sages Comme des Sauvages is a Franco-American-Greek-Corsican-Brussels duo, made up of Ava Carrère and Ismaël Colombani. She is a multilingual self-taught musician and visual artist, while he is a trained violinist and multi-instrumentalist. She comes from the cosmopolitan world of Berlin cabaret, and he hails from loud and experimental music, composing for the stage. Co-produced by Dakou, the great master of Afro-Cuban electro rhythm, an eminent member of Tschegue and The YD. Featuring contributions from Sofiane Saidi, the "prince of raï 2.0," the Occitan folk collective San Salvador, and the brilliant MPL. On tour in Zimbabwe, Sages comme des sauvages meet Stimy Stimela and Blessing Chimanga, and after performing live with them, they can't resist including them in the album as well. The album, mixed by Florent Livet and mastered by Chab, marks a new stage in the group's career. The artistic boldness of the duo hit the mark, and today an ambitious artistic and sound direction is added.
