A Letter From Slowboat
Description
“Be better today than yesterday, and better tomorrow than today, to progress even a little.” Guided by this thought, Ryo Fukui devoted body and soul to the piano for forty years. His touch is now more powerful, his emotions deeper, and his voice richer. Even setting aside the symbolic weight of a posthumous work, what we have here is a pure masterpiece. Ryo Fukui, the renowned pianist from Hokkaido, sadly passed away in 2016. His first two works, Scenery and Mellow Dream, were met with a triumphant reception, and his name is now famous among jazz lovers around the world. This album, A Letter From Slowboat, was released in 2015: it was his first record as a leader in sixteen years.Buy A Letter From Slowboat at the best price
