Rusan, the Turkish troubadour. "I wanted to present where I come from and where I am going," summarizes Rusan Filiztek about his first solo album: daring to sing in several languages (Turkish, Greek, Armenian) and rediscovering the spirit of the troubadours of ancient times. Originally from Turkey, Rusan Filiztek naturally uses the saz, an emblematic instrument representative of the different territories he has traveled through (Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, before arriving in France in 2015). Apart from two traditional tracks in Eastern modes in Greek and Armenian for which he took a Greek oud, and for Sans souci, a Gallo-Breton song that he accompanies on a three-string saz, the 7-string saz is used throughout this beautiful album, playing a central role that reflects the reality of all the cultures of Asia Minor.
