Attention, Royal Republic is not the kind of band to sit quietly in their corner. Because even though these cheerful musicians come from the prestigious Academy Of Music in Malmö, they show no respect for the rules of the art. Through catchy choruses and infectious and captivating melodies of their compositions, they want above all to (re)give a smile to every spectator and take the audience on a bit of a crazy ride, where the mosh pit can also become a dancefloor. Recorded in Berlin at Fuzz Factory Studios under the direction of Christian Neander & Michael Tibes, Weekend Man follows We Are The Royal (2010) and Save The Nation (2012), two albums that had already drawn attention to the fervor of the band. With this third effort, the mindset of these wild rockers remains intact. Through riffs often close to punk rhythms, Royal Republic plays each track with the pedal to the metal, thus offering bubbles of raw energy, calibrated for concerts.
