A young trumpet prodigy, Roy Hargrove stands out as a genius on the contemporary Jazz scene. Spotted by the iconic Wynton Marsalis in the mid-80s, he went on to take part in many albums by giants such as Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Oscar Peteson, Michael Braker, but also invited a few artists from popular music such as Erykah Badu, Common, D'Angelo or Gilles Peterson. A fan of creating multiple bands, Roy Hargrove created the "Roy Hargrove Crisol" and brought a Latin dynamic to his Jazz. One year after the release in 1997 of 'Habana', the trumpeter did it again with 'Grande Terre' but the album is only being released today, making this record a completely unreleased album.
