Rose City Band is the alias of renowned guitarist Ripley Johnson. A prolific songwriter, Johnson created Rose City Band as an outlet to keep pace with his writing and to explore songwriting styles beyond Wooden Shjips and Moon Duo. Rose City Band allows him to follow his musical muses without being constrained by band members' schedules and the demands of a touring group. On Earth Trip, Johnson colors his songs with a country rock vibe and a touch of melancholy and nostalgia.
