The term "Nuit américaine" (Day for Night), which obviously brings to mind François Truffaut’s 1973 love letter to cinema, refers to a cinematographic technique that allows outdoor scenes meant to take place at night to be filmed in broad daylight. This process is not unlike the colours and general direction of this album.
