Into the sun

Description

Toujours as sophisticated, the new album by the wonderful guitarist Robben Ford once again delivers to us a record with current songwriting, with always that breathtaking guitar playing that has made him one of the favorite musicians of Miles Davis or Joni Mitchell, among other legends. It features guest appearances by ZZ Ward (who co-wrote the track ''Breathe of me'' by Keb'Mo' of Warren Haynes, by pedal steel master guitarist Robert Randolph, by the legend of slide six-string Landreth and by the very promising Tyler Bryant. Into the Sun explores the depths of Ford's visions and continues to extend the roots sound glimpsed on his latest records A Day in Nashville and Bringing It Back Home, with always this varied palette that includes jazz, pop as well as rock. The album was recorded by Niko Bolas who has already worked for heavyweights like Neil Young. I consider my music to be modern, while still being rooted in tradition. And this album is very contemporary to the present time, Ford tells us.
It is also an opportunity for Ford to prove to us his astonishing creativity and to write a new chapter in his rich musical career.
