Recorded between his studio in Rouen, the south of France (Limusic Studio) and London, SURVIVAL MODE is only Rilès’ second album, five years after Welcome to the Jungle. After a second season of RILESUNDAYZ (1 single per week for 1 year) and a summer tour in 2022, Rilès was keen to take the time to create a powerful work reflecting the entirety of his creative and inventive abilities, while revealing new facets of his identity.
Thus, Survival Mode oscillates between Western and melancholic sounds while drawing on the tribal rhythms that have been his strength since his debut. The ambition of this album is to illustrate the survival instinct in all its forms, particularly in the fight against our inner demons.
