Respighi

Description

Riccardo Chailly and the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala in Milan continue their successful series dedicated to the great Italian composers. This opus is dedicated to the discovery of the work of Ottorino Respighi with the symphonic poems Pines of Rome and Fountains of Rome. These poems written during the first half of the 20th century illustrate the eras and atmospheres of the city of Rome. Riccardo Chailly was named Artist of the Year 2019 by Diapason magazine, awarded among others for his recording of the same series with the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala in Milan, the album Fellini.
