Across eighteen tracks, alternating between instrumentals and songs, the duo explores the fiddle and banjo legacy passed down by their mentor Joe Thompson and the legendary Etta Baker. Recorded outdoors, in historically significant locations, the album captures the essence of this musical tradition. Nature itself makes its way into the recording, notably with the very rare song of synchronized cicadas for the first time since 1803.
