From Anywhere

Description

Without ego but with plenty of soul, Reverend Baron delivers his visions of East Los Angeles neighborhoods; liquor stores, the mirage of graffiti passing in slow motion on the freeway overpass and lonely seagulls. From Anywhere, his fourth album and his first for Karma Chief Records, offers us a zen haze of nylon strings with themes of cushioned love, layered dimensions of nostalgia and gleaming neighborhood stories that flow together with natural ease. After making a name for himself in the skate world under the name Danny Garcia, he transferred his effortless style, dedication and authenticity into music. By applying a philosophy of demystifying the process and doing it himself, he became a multi-instrumentalist, an engineer and a skilled producer for his own music and that of other artists. A true enigma, Reverend Baron - also a member of the Californian band Drugdealer - casts a sharp eye over his surroundings and treats them with depth and gentleness to produce a sound that flows naturally. His songs are a simple invitation to step through the front door. For fans of Richard Swift, Michael Nau, Cut Worms.
