Once again relying on bassist Elias Bailey and co-producer/drummer Quentin Baxter, both her companions on the road for 15 years, with pianist John Chin joining them, René Marie delivers an autobiographical album featuring a fine lineup of guests including Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo. Across 11 tracks about the turmoil and perspectives of life, René Marie shares her experiences, confides her emotions, and delights us with all the versatility of her incredibly feline swing.
