"Méditerranées" is the culmination of a long-cherished dream of Renaud García-Fons: a unique musical journey at the heart of the Mediterranean. In 18 stages, where melodies reign, Renaud García-Fons depicts the majestic landscapes that transport us from the south of Spain to the North African shore, passing through the Bosphorus and the Strait of Gibraltar. Each stage has its own universe, serious or joyful, meditative or danceable, conducive to changes in rhythms and orchestrations. The latter, always renewed, can be either stripped down or extremely rich, combining strings, winds, various percussions, accordions, singing… Bansurî, daf, rik, darbouka, târ, udu, zarb… Renaud García-Fons wished to use the multiple instruments he encountered during this journey.
