Hall Jim / Jazz Guitar

Description

Jazz Guitar was Jim Hall's first album as a leader. The subsequent albums would differ significantly from this original recording. The first LP edition contained ten tracks, including "This is Always." However, the second LP edition included only nine tracks (with "This is Always" removed) and featured edited versions of several pieces (mainly modifications to piano or bass solos). A later reissue transformed the trio into a quartet by adding a drum track by Larry Bunker over the original recording. This edition reproduces the original form of the album in its entirety.
