Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Raul Midón is joined on this superb collection of works by his friends, Andrés Forero on drums and percussion, Richard Hammond on bass, and Federico Peña on keyboards and piano. Among the standout tracks from ‘Lost & Found’ is the first single ‘Keep On Keeping On’, which is an upbeat pop blues song. ‘The Ganja Song’ was featured on the Jennifer Hudson Show. It’s a dynamic ska version of the effects of cannabis. ‘Next Time’ is a galloping rock waltz and a co-write with songwriter Mike Errico. It’s about making the most of each day because there may not be another, and every moment is precious. The title track ‘Lost & Found’, which Midón calls ‘smooth folk’, is a song he wrote early in his career. The lyrics were inspired by listening to Bob Dylan read his poem, ‘Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie’. It’s a tribute to the human spirit. Another highlight is the soulful collaboration with Ethiopian R&B singer Wayna on their co-write ‘A Condition of Love’. The song premiered worldwide with SoulTracks. It’s a song about the many aspects of love that are not necessarily romantic. A modern R&B ballad.
