Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Raul Midon is joined on this superb body of work by his friends, Andrés Forero on drums and percussion, Richard Hammond on bass, Federico Pena on keyboards and piano. Among the standout songs on 'Lost & Found' is the first single, 'Keep On Keeping On', an upbeat blues-pop song. 'The Ganja Song' was featured on the Jennifer Hudson Show. It's a dynamic ska version of the effects of cannabis. 'Next Time' is a galloping rock waltz and a co-write with songwriter Mike Errico. It's about enjoying each day because there might not be another and every moment is precious. The album's title track, 'Lost & Found', Midón calls 'smooth folk'. It's a song he wrote early in his career. The lyrics were inspired by listening to Bob Dylan read his poem, 'Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie'. It's a tribute to the human spirit. Another highlight is the soulful collaboration with Ethiopian R&B singer Wayna on their Sting-esque co-write 'A Condition of Love'. The song premiered globally with SoulTracks. A song about the many aspects of love that are not necessarily romantic. An R&B ballad for modern times.
