Description

Everything began in 2022 in Besançon, when Jean-Philippe Putaud (ex-Nothing To Prove) and Rémi Grosbois (ex-Wendy's Surrender) started rehearsing for a new project. As noise calls to noise, the first decibels from the duo caught the attention of Thomas Paris and Hervé Bailly, who were also practicing in the adjacent space with their band Jack & The Bearded Fishermen. Joining the project seemed like an obvious choice, given their shared strong inspirations. Thus, Random Hearts began to take shape and is finally set to emerge in 2026 with Love PTSD. This debut album was recorded and mixed by Christophe Hogomatt (Watertank, Basic Partner, Mad Foxes…) and mastered by Thibault Chaumont (It It Anita, Birds In Row, Carpenter Brut…). Through wanderings marked by 90s post-hardcore and tinged with emo, Random Hearts attempts to untangle the complexities of the feelings that remain, struggling to establish a mathematical equation for modern love. This first discographic effort follows the breath of fresh air from the US heavy shoegaze scene, represented by Nothing, Superheaven, or Title Fight, while also invoking the influences of classics like Quicksand, Jawbox, and Handsome. Without overplaying nostalgia, it’s never too late for regrets.
