Ramkot is a demolition ball from Ghent, Belgium, that plays powerful and danceable rock music. After two EPs and a reputation for being one of the most exciting live bands, spring 2023 sees the release of their first album In Between Borderlines, a 25-minute uppercut aimed at both the head and the hips. They tour extensively, playing no less than 100 concerts in just one year: from hot venues to sun-soaked festival stages (Pinkpop, Down The Rabbit Hole) to opening for Metallica in Amsterdam. For their second album, instead of producing it themselves again, Ramkot calls on producer Alain Johannes (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures), who invites them to the Joshua Tree desert. For three weeks, Ramkot resides in the legendary studio Rancho De La Luna, famous for Josh Homme's The Desert Sessions, the leader of QOTSA. "We put everything into it, without always hitting the gas, which allows the music to breathe more. There will be a few softer songs that fans won't expect from us. But rest assured, every note still sounds very much like Ramkot." The band will only play a handful of concerts this year, including 2000 Trees (UK), Sziget (H), Pukkelpop, and Lowlands.
