In 1987, Portuguese musician Rafael Toral began his solo compositions and recordings. Thirty years later, these albums appear visionary and perfectly contemporary. Drag City is reissuing his long-out-of-print second album for the very first time on vinyl. In 1995, *Wave Field* ventured into new compositional methods involving the dirty textures of rock, seemingly bridging the gap between Alvin Lucier, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and Brian Eno.
