Pierre Guénard, singer-songwriter and former slam artist, Clin Russeil, drummer and keyboardist met in high school, and Manu Ralambo, guitarist who joined later, came together three years ago around their project Radio Elvis. After two EPs, they are releasing their first album Les Conquêtes, produced by Antoine Gaillet (Arman Méliès, Julien Doré). With a good hundred concerts under their belt, they were spotted by FAIR and the Printemps de Bourges in 2015. They composed together, arranged on stage, and refined their songs in the studio, and they feel emotional about this first opus hitting the shelves. Powerful and varied guitar sounds came to Manu naturally, inspired by the words written by Pierre. It’s a logic to affirm a frantic desire to go elsewhere. Guitars full of strength, melodies, and rough edges. The tempos are never the same. Colin, on drums and keyboards, offers a multitude of contrasts like the changing lights of their imaginary lands. This album keeps you awake. No rest possible during the journey, but a perpetual desire to listen to it endlessly. All the songs are essential. The conquests are adventures that lead down the paths of wandering, senses alert, at the mercy of the wind, sand, sun… Love metaphors, adventurous tales, self-exploration, or spiritual quests, everyone will find their own conquest within.
