We have selected some of the most requested tracks from our Brazil 45 catalog and lovingly remastered and repressed them. This edition features two extremely sought-after tracks from Quinteto Ternura and their original group Trio Ternura. First, a touch of pure sunshine from Quinteto Ternura. The Trio Ternura, made up of two sisters, Jussara, Jurema, and their brother Robson, also formed Quinteto Ternura by teaming up with Léo and Zé Roberto. "Baby" is an absolutely killer and joyful modern Brazilian soul jam, written by Caetano Veloso, arranged by Arthur Verocai, and performed by Gal Costa. Once a true rarity in Brazil, this beauty is now accessible to everyone and rarely leaves our record bags. Taken from the self-titled LP by Quinteto Ternura from 1974. On the other hand, "Filhos De Zambi" is an exquisite and uptempo samba-funk track from the same year, but released as the original formation of the Trio Ternura siblings. The trio's contagious and comforting fire, co-written by their father Umberto Silva and José Ribamar, features a brilliant and harmonized chorus and a wonderful key change that is sure to light up any dance floor.
