Quinn Sullivan rose to fame as a young guitar virtuoso who, after a chance encounter with Buddy Guy at the age of 8, would go on to become an American blues phenomenon. In fact, Buddy Guy said at the time, "Musicians like him, you only meet once in your life."
While writing and recording his fifth album, *Salvation*, the singer-songwriter-guitarist had to contend with the sudden passing of his mother. The resulting 11-track album is his most personal yet. *Salvation* pays homage to Quinn's musical roots while charting his path as an emotional and endearing songwriter. "My mother guided me on this album," explains the New Bedford, Massachusetts artist. "I’m not religious, but for me, salvation means saving yourself from a traumatic experience. That's what this album did for me."
*Salvation* is expected to help establish Quinn Sullivan outside the USA, where he enjoys considerable renown.
