Graham Jonson is drawn to the solace of melody and noise. The way the two conspire in tension, tonally and atonally, stirring memory and mood. This quality animates the technicolor world of quickly, quickly, the psych-pop project emanating from his Portland, Oregon basement studio. Though shaped by personal episodes and fallout, the album finds Jonson making universal, open, and gratifying music the way great songwriters do.
