The Last Flight

Description

Public Service Broadcasting announces today the release of their fifth studio album, The Last Flight, via their new label, So Recordings. The Last Flight tells the story of the final journey of American pioneer Amelia Earhart, an "aviator." In 1922, at just 25 years old, Earhart flew higher than any woman before her, and in the years that followed, she became the first woman to solo across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, setting numerous speed and distance records. In 1937, she announced that she would fly around the world in her Lockheed Model 10-E Electra. She traveled across the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. She left Papua New Guinea to fly to Howland Island in the central Pacific but never arrived, instead rising to the level of myth reserved for the most courageous adventurers.
