PROCOL HARUM

Description

Recently remastered edition of Procol Harum’s eponymous debut album, a classic released in 1968. Originally issued in January 1968, this album followed the immense international success of their debut single "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and the subsequent single "Homburg." This new edition of “Procol Harum” was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and includes a bonus 12-inch EP featuring the classics "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and "Homburg," along with their B-sides. Considered one of the finest releases of its era, Procol Harum captures the exquisite songwriting of Gary Brooker and Keith Reid, as well as the excellence of the band's musicians: Brooker (vocals, piano), Robin Trower (lead guitar), David Knights (bass), B. J. Wilson (drums), and Matthew Fisher (Hammond organ). The final result is a collection of songs that would prove to be revolutionary.
