Premiata Forneria Marconi, an Italian band formed in 1970, developed an international career in the protean field of prog-rock (more often under the acronym PFM abroad). Having attracted the attention of Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and collaborating with Peter Sinfield of King Crimson for the English lyrics of this third album, for which they re-recorded tracks from their first two Italian albums. They have often been compared to early Genesis and King Crimson.
