Les Années Lolita is a compilation of unreleased archives by Thierry Azam and Alain Michon, aka Pray-Pax, members of the French artistic collective Lolita Danse in the 1980s. The music gathered here, drawn from the group's performances, blends no wave, minimal wave, post-punk, avant-garde jazz, and eccentric DIY compositions, reflecting a surrealist, theatrical, and kaleidoscopic aesthetic.Founded in 1981, Lolita Danse brought together artists, dancers, and musicians exploring multidisciplinary practices without seeking a single style, producing solos, duets, and spectacular collective pieces. Between 1981 and 1989, the collective performed in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Brazil. This compilation offers a fascinating glimpse into the fluid and strange sonic universe of Pray-Pax, at the heart of the collective's unique and exuberant events.
